Job Description

State-of-the-art orthodontic practice looking for the right clinical ortho assistant to join our exciting office! Applicants must be organized, dependable, motivated, personable, and possess excellent communication skills. Computer skills and efficiency a must since the office is completely digital and paperless. Bilingual with Spanish speaking skills a plus. Friendly personality a priority. Prior orthodontic assisting experience required. The position is a full-time position for 4 days a week, totaling 30 hours weekly. Work hours may vary week to week, but will be Monday through Friday (no weekends). Specifics about hours and the schedule will be discussed during the in-person interview. Please DO NOT apply for the position if you are not available to work during normal business hours (10-6 on Mondays and 9-5 on Tuesdays through Fridays) due to other conflicts. As a clinical assistant, you will be expected to take impressions and pictures, take digital scans, maintain and implement x-ray certification, tie and untie wires, assist in bonding and banding procedures, be willing to learn new techniques, utilize universal precautions when treating patients, practice within the boundaries of OSHA, give oral hygiene and braces care instructions to parents and patients, exhibit professionalism, seat and adjust retainers, make vacuum formed clear retainers and other laboratory appliances, pour up models, maintain a digital lab workflow, and maintain a clean workspace. You may be asked to help the front desk staff with some receptionist duties as well if needed.
