Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, and ensure the dental office runs efficiently.
Duties:
  • Prepare patients for dental procedures by welcoming, comforting, and seating them
  • Assist the dentist by handing them instruments and materials
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
  • Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare
  • Maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications:
  • Certificate or Associate degree in Dental Assisting
  • X-ray certification preferred
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical documentation
  • Experience in infection control and aseptic technique
  • Knowledge of medical coding systems
  • Familiarity with vital signs monitoring
Nice-to-have Skills:
  • Previous experience in dental assisting
  • Understanding of dental procedures and terminology
