In this energetic role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment that promotes oral health and confidence for every patient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to excellence in general and pediatric dentistry. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to all safety protocols and radiation guidelines Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization following infection prevention management standards and aseptic techniques Take vital signs and medical histories to assist in comprehensive patient assessments and ensure optimal care delivery Support patient management by providing clear instructions, answering questions about procedures, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable Strong understanding of infection control practices, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental handpieces, and other clinical tools safely and effectively Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus; experience assisting with oral surgery or endodontics is advantageous Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists, hygienists, and dentists while maintaining professionalism Ability to follow clinical confidentiality policies diligently while managing medical documentation and records Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate, efficient care that transforms smiles!
