Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and caring Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and hygienists, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic, and delivering exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to patient care.Responsibilities:
Chairside Assistance:
Mixing and taking impressions for dentures. Support the dentist during extractions and restorations, sterilization of instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfortPatient Care:
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environmentX-Ray Imaging:
Capture dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocolsPatient Education:
Guide patients on oral hygiene, post-op care, and treatment optionsRecords Management:
Accurately update patient records and dental charts in EHR systemsInfection Control:
Strictly follow sterilization and disinfection protocolsAppointment Scheduling:
Help manage and confirm patient appointmentsCollaboration:
Work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and supportQualifications:
Dental Assistant certification. X-ray certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities Experience in Open Dental and Medicaid Claims Thorough understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA standards A compassionate approach to patient care and comfortBenefits
