Job Description
We are a small, locally owned and operated pediatric dental practice in Hilltop, Virginia Beach, dedicated to providing exceptional care to children in our community. We strive to create a fun, welcoming, and stress-free environment for both our young patients and their parents. Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, calming, and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate excels at making pediatric patients feel safe and relaxed, possesses strong chairside skills, and works seamlessly with our clinical team to provide top-quality care.
Key Responsibilities Chairside Assisting:
Assist the dentist during clinical procedures with efficient, attentive chairside support.Patient Comfort:
Maintain a gentle, cheerful, and reassuring atmosphere to ease anxiety for children and parents.Nitrous Oxide Administration:
Assist with and monitor the safe delivery of in-office nitrous oxide during treatments.Radiography:
Take clear, high-quality pediatric dental X-rays efficiently and safely.Sterilization & Sanitation:
Sterilize instruments, disinfect treatment rooms, and maintain strict infection control standards.Clinical Preparation:
Set up and break down operatories, ensuring all equipment and materials are prepared for each patient. Cleaning duties at the end of the day.Qualifications & Requirements Certifications:
Active Dental X-Ray Certification required.Experience:
Experience with pediatric chairside assisting, instrument sterilization protocols, and nitrous oxide monitoring strongly preferred.Personality:
Naturally warm, patient, and skilled at helping children feel at ease in a dental setting.Team Player:
Strong communication skills and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.Pay:
From $21.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 32.0 per weekBenefits:
