Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other staff members to deliver exceptional service while adhering to all safety and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including endodontics and routine examinations. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for managing patient information and medical records. Support the administrative team with medical coding and terminology as needed. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn. Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Epic and Eaglesoft, is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control practices and medical terminology is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are required.
