Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant or Expanded Function Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality general dentistry services, utilizing your skills in clinical procedures, patient management, and dental technology. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques. Take digital dental x-rays and medical imaging, accurately recording vital signs and managing digital records using an EMR system, Eaglesoft. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and providing excellent patient care throughout their visit. Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental lasers, and other advanced tools while ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-operative instructions, and treatment plans using clear dental terminology. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, managing patient management software, and ensuring accurate medical coding for billing purposes. Experience Prior experience working in a restorative general dental environment with proficiency in dental assisting or expanded functions is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is essential for efficient medical documentation and record keeping. Knowledge of infection control standards including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques is required to ensure clinical safety. Experience with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery procedures is a plus for supporting diverse patient needs. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to effectively assist during complex procedures. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward patient care. Pay:
$27.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
