The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and patient care. is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and pediatric dentistry will be considered advantageous. The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of dental assisting and patient confidentiality. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to radiation safety protocols Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR). Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical documentation, and scheduling appointments Ensure infection control standards are maintained throughout the clinic to promote a safe environment for patients and staff Provide chairside assistance with dental procedures including endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry treatments Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care Maintain accurate dental terminology and medical coding for documentation purposes Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical records management and insurance processing when needed Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting; experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred Proficiency in
OPEN DENTAL
; familiarity with medical imaging tools including X-ray machines and 3D scanners ( 3Shape) Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding processes Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures is advantageous Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills contribute directly to patient health and comfort.
