ARE LOCATED ACROSS FROM THE EVERGREEN HOSPITAL IN KIRKLAND
in a newly remodeled office. We are looking to hire an Orthodontic Assistant / Sterilization technician. We are looking to find a dependable, polished, and positive person to join our team. We are looking to either train someone to start in sterile and learn the skills of orthodontic assisting or hire an experienced assistant, so pay will vary greatly depending on skills. Responsibilities and Duties (depending on experience) Sterilization of instruments (shared duties with other assistants DOE) Cleaning and sanitizing the clinical chairs Assisting other team members, being a team player to give our patients the best experience possible Taking x-rays (we can train) Greet patients and prepare them accordingly to specific procedures. Provide chairside assistance for different orthodontic procedures. Use Orthotrac software but we will be transitioning to Edge Tie and untie wires Fit occasional bands and take scans Itero scanning for Invisalign. Bond Invisalign attachments. Educate patients on oral hygiene instructions and post- operative instructions regarding braces and placement of other orthodontic appliances. Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments. Maintain compliance to infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be a team player. Must have reliable transportation. Washington State Dental Assistant Registration (or willing to apply immediately if you are wanting us to train you.) Able to work with children as well as with adults. Assistant experience is a plus, higher pay range would require several years of experience. Pay dependent on proficiency. Must be available when we see patients, typically 3 days a week (alternating m-wed, t-thurs). In the fall, we will need most afternoons. This is a part-time position, approximately 12-20 hours a week. Benefits This position is eligible for holiday pay, vacation, sick leave, and retirement depending on hours worked. In person. We are looking for a new orthodontic assistant. Although experience is wonderful, we are also willing to hire as an entry-level position sterilization technician who we can train to be an orthodontic assistant. (We will help you though dental assistant registration process as needed.)
