This is a job that you will enjoy! Dental Assistant Duties Assist the dentist by providing chairside assistance during procedures. Greet and seat patients and take and record vital signs of patients and take requested x-rays. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details. Follow clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare the set up and breakdown of treatment rooms for patient examinations. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment and assist with sterilization area for smooth flow. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental wellness. Occasionally support front staff by scheduling 6 month patient appointments. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection control practices. Familiarity with dental equipment such as dental sterilization devices, X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience using patient management software for records and scheduling. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention protocols and sterilization procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Certification in Dental Radiography (X-ray) Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team Practicing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
