Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging equipment following safety protocols and infection prevention policies Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and patient comfort levels before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal care Perform dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment Support patient management by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and providing post-treatment instructions with clear communication Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable Strong understanding of infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, CBCT and other clinical tools safely and effectively Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting with implant restoration experience Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Certification in X-ray safety or radiography is preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery are a plus Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and professional excellence.
