Full-Time Pediatric Dental Assistant Under the Sea Dentistry for Children is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team! We are a busy pediatric specialty office focused on creating a positive and comfortable dental experience for children and their families. Because we are a pediatric practice, our dental assistants are actively involved in preventive care and perform prophylaxis cleanings on patients as part of their daily schedule. What We're Looking For Dental assisting experience preferred Pediatric dental experience is a plus, but not required Current Washington State Dental Assistant Registration Comfortable performing pediatric prophylaxis cleanings throughout the day Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment Friendly, patient, and confident working with children of different ages Strong communication and teamwork skills Able to anticipate the needs of the doctor and stay organized Willing to help wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly Positive attitude and willingness to learn Daily Responsibilities Include Performing pediatric prophylaxis cleanings Chairside assisting for pediatric dental procedures Taking dental X-rays Applying fluoride and assisting with preventive care Preparing and turning over treatment rooms Assisting with restorative treatment, sealants, space maintainers, and other pediatric procedures Helping children feel comfortable and successful during their appointments Communicating appropriately with parents and guardians Maintaining sterilization and infection-control standards Keeping clinical areas stocked and organized Reviewing the schedule and preparing for upcoming patients and procedures Working closely with the doctor, assistants, and front-office team Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Thursday We are looking for someone interested in a consistent, long-term position who values being part of a close-knit team. Our assistants play a very hands-on role in patient care. This is not strictly a traditional chairside assisting position. Preventive appointments, including prophylaxis cleanings, are a regular part of the dental assistant's day.
