Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient management, and dental procedures, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Assist dentists chairside during various dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures. Take and develop dental X-rays in compliance with dental radiography standards and safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection prevention management protocols to maintain aseptic technique. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment instructions to enhance overall dental health outcomes. Support administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed, including appointment scheduling and patient management software utilization like Epic or other systems. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant within a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and clinical procedures such as dental x-ray techniques and infection control practices. Experience working with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric patients is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and digital radiography systems effectively. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies along with aseptic technique adherence. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for accurate medical documentation and coding.
