Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Open Dental, ensuring precise medical documentation and coding. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Conduct vital signs assessments and assist with medical imaging as needed for comprehensive patient evaluation. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by processing dental instruments and adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Support the dental reception process by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care, fostering positive patient experiences. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare infection prevention and control standards. Hands-on experience with dental x-ray procedures and medical imaging techniques. Strong understanding of dental equipment operation, sterilization procedures, and infection control protocols. Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate record keeping. Excellent communication skills tailored to both pediatric patients and adult clients within a healthcare setting.
