Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a full time hygienist for our family dental practice. We are looking for someone who is energetic, great with patient communication and care, and is a team player. We are a private office with great patients and staff and a long time hygienist looking to retire. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Perform full periodontal charting and periodontal therapy with root planing. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with chairside assisting Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding medical records and sensitive information Sterilize instruments with proper protocols. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Proven experience working in general dentistry Proficiency in dental terminology and coding Skilled in the use of dental equipment, including ultrasonic scalers, hand instruments, and digital radiography systems Strong knowledge of infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and infection control standards Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while adhering to HIPAA compliance management standards Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional dental care! Pay:
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour
