Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations using medical imaging and dental x-rays Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans Ensure infection prevention through strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in accordance with healthcare standards Review medical records and documentation to support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and medical coding compliance Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Proven experience in general dentistry, including pediatric dentistry and pediatric care preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for managing electronic health records (EHR) and documentation review Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and dental x-ray procedures including X-ray safety protocols Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality, and healthcare infection prevention standards Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration Ability to perform detailed patient assessments, utilize medical imaging tools effectively, and apply medical terminology accurately Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy fundamentals, and medical coding procedures Join us in delivering outstanding dental care that transforms smiles!
