Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care through thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and comprehensive assessments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health while ensuring a positive, comfortable experience for every patient. This job is for Friday 9-2:30 pm Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth in accordance with best practices and safety protocols Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety measures are followed Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting treatment details, medical records, and medical coding Maintain strict infection prevention protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and HIPAA compliance standards Operate dental equipment safely and efficiently while troubleshooting technical issues as needed Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as reviewing documentation for accuracy and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with current certification to practice Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within pediatric or general dentistry environments Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and record management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices Excellent communication skills for client interaction and education on dental care topics Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Experience with medical imaging techniques including vital signs measurement and medical assessment procedures Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards including aseptic technique Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care!
