We are seeking a compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist who shares these values and is interested in growing with our practice long-term. Schedule Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. One-hour lunch break Flexibility with exact hours may be available for the right candidate Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and polishing Complete comprehensive periodontal and clinical assessments Review patients' medical and dental histories and identify potential concerns Take high-quality diagnostic dental X-rays while following established safety protocols Educate patients about brushing, flossing, nutrition, periodontal health, and preventive care Provide personalized recommendations that support patients' long-term oral health Explain clinical findings and recommended treatment clearly and compassionately Help patients feel comfortable, especially those experiencing dental anxiety Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records Follow sterilization, aseptic technique, and infection-control protocols Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance Support an efficient daily workflow and positive patient experience Anticipate the needs of patients, the doctor, and the clinical team Adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and office needs Take initiative in maintaining instruments, supplies, and hygiene equipment Qualifications Active California Registered Dental Hygienist license Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program Active CPR/BLS certification Laser certified Strong clinical and periodontal assessment skills Compassionate and committed to patient comfort Able to manage dental anxiety with patience and empathy Flexible and open to learning, growing, and expanding clinical knowledge Adaptable and able to respond positively to changes in workflow and priorities Strong work ethic and willingness to hustle while maintaining excellent patient care Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative without constant direction Strong communication, punctuality, dependability, and teamwork Positive, professional, and patient-focused Compensation and Benefits $65-$75 per hour, depending on experience Modern equipment and efficient systems Supportive owner-doctor in a private-practice environment Collaborative, low-stress, and drama-free workplace Opportunity for long-term growth with the practice We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job—someone who is ready to contribute, take ownership of their role, expand their skills, and build lasting relationships with our patients and team.
