Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including polishing and periodontal probing Conduct initial patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and dental health evaluations. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines and software (Patterson Imaging) while ensuring proper infection prevention protocols. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety standards and document findings accurately in patient charts. Provide comprehensive patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations Manage health record systems (charting, MOGO, & Patterson Imaging) efficiently, reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness. Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, fostering trust and encouraging ongoing dental care compliance. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office environment. Experience performing dental x-rays (radiographs) with proficiency in X-ray safety standards. Demonstrated ability to educate patients about dental care and motivate them toward healthier habits.
