JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Dentist, the Registered Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive periodontal care. This is a (3) month temporary position based out of Sebastopol, CA, with travel to our Guerneville location required occasionally. Current scheduling need is flexible at approximately 24 hours/week.

Duties:

Provides comprehensive periodontal care to patients including scaling, root planning, prophylaxis and education. Educates patients regarding dental procedures, home care and post-op instructions. Monitors and reinforces instrument sterilization and operatory disinfection and barrier control. Documents procedures in patient charts. Reviews patient's health histories

Minimum Requirements:

Satisfactory completion of accredited RDH program Registered dental hygienist license, x-ray license, and current CPR certification One year experience in dental office or clinic preferred Efficiency working with an EHR (Electronic Health Record) and EDR (Electronic Dental Record) is desired Good communication and customer service skills. Bilingual Spanish/English desirable.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to move freely about the office and carry light loads (up to 25 pounds) Prolonged standing and occasional sitting required.
