This is a single column hygiene with one doctor and two assistants. Our small, yet close knit team is like a family. We encourage creativity, communication, and always thrive to do better. We are seeking a passionate and patient focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing dental cleanings, assessments, and education while ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and evaluating oral health status. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow. Take and develop dental x-rays accurately while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Prepare and sterilize dental equipment, ensuring infection prevention management and aseptic technique are followed diligently. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Current BLS or CPR Certification Knowledge of dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and electronic health records management. Proficiency in charting patient notes Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge Expertise in infection prevention and control practices, including infection prevention management and aseptic technique. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring clear client communication and patient education.
