Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and interpret dental x-rays using digital imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to individual needs Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments or sealants in collaboration with dentists Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) -Dentrix Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and providing care tailored for children of all ages Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively about dental care and foster trust Familiarity with infection control practices, healthcare safety standards, and medical coding procedures Competence in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment, managing supplies, and supporting general dentistry procedures Join us in making a difference by delivering top-quality dental care in a supportive environment that values your skills and dedication!
