The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with industry standards. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record management. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques as needed. Manage medical imaging tasks, ensuring accurate capture of diagnostic images. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient records and sensitive information. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry settings. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices. Skills Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation review and patient record management. Strong understanding of dental assisting practices and chairside assisting techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Ability to effectively communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans and oral health needs. Knowledge of infection control procedures to maintain a sterile working environment. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental practices is essential. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
