Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene services, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth, as well as taking and developing dental x-rays. They will assess patients' oral health, offer treatment recommendations, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices to promote overall oral health. The Dental Hygienist will also assist the dentist during procedures, administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide when needed, and ensure a sterile environment. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate patient records and following infection control protocols.

Responsibilities:

Perform dental hygiene procedures such as cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth Take and develop dental x-rays Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed Assist the dentist during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment Maintain accurate patient records using dental software Follow infection control protocols to ensure safety and cleanliness in the dental office

Qualifications:

Proficient in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic for patient record management Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures Strong understanding of infection control protocols and practices Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry Ability to assist the dentist during procedures, including dental assisting tasks Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment options Knowledge of dental office procedures and administrative tasks Solid understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

Pay:

$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
