In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct initial patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and dental examinations to evaluate oral health status. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging equipment, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR), documenting treatment plans, medical information, and procedural notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure infection prevention measures are strictly followed by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing infection control protocols. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience with dental software systems for charting and documentation management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, including X-ray techniques and patient care protocols. Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA standards. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
