Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, oral hygiene techniques, and preventive strategies tailored to their needs. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Assist the dentist during procedures through chairside support, ensuring smooth workflow with four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with healthcare regulations like HIPAA. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience with dental equipment operation, dental x-ray procedures, and medical imaging techniques. Excellent patient communication skills to foster trust and ensure understanding of treatment plans and oral health education. Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, patient assessment, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of infection prevention management practices specific to dental clinics and healthcare settings. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus for providing care tailored to pediatric patients in a friendly manner. $42.00 - $47.00 per hour
