Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dental care and patient education. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality will ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on proper dental care practices, oral hygiene techniques, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric dentistry and general dentistry needs Take and develop dental x-rays (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed in accordance with HIPAA and infection prevention standards Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and medical records while reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness Adhere to healthcare infection prevention and control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental procedures Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing electronic health records (EHR) Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management Experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or both is highly preferred Skilled in infection prevention management, including sterilization procedures and infection control practices Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental health topics Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate, expert dental care that enhances our patients' smiles and confidence.
