Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and other diagnostic tools with precision and adherence to safety standards. Manage electronic health records system as Dentrix accurately, reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to healthcare infection control standards. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging to support accurate patient assessments. Expertise in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment, taking X-rays (dental x-ray or X-ray). Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance management. Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to uphold the highest standards of safety using aseptic techniques. Ability to review medical records thoroughly, ensure proper documentation review, and maintain detailed records aligned with EMR/EHR standards.
