PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As the initial point of contact for patients at our dental clinic, our Dental Hygienist plays a pivotal role in ensuring a positive and informative experience. This position involves comprehensive patient screening, providing essential education with the impact on oral health, and offering compassionate care throughout and following treatment. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of patient care and contributing to the overall success of our dental practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Screening patients, including conducting mouth assessments and reviewing oral health history. Educating patients on proper teeth and gum care and the importance on oral health. Demonstrate proficiency in traditional and digital impressions, ensuring accurate and efficient results. Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment. Removing plaque, cleaning teeth, and helping to prevent gum disease. Supporting the Dentist on all aspects of dental care. Staying current with the latest developments in dentistry. Collecting medical and dental histories from patients. Charting dental conditions based on observations and evaluations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Dental Hygiene; valid license to practice. Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA). Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and reliability.
