Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure our patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for during every visit. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments by evaluating oral health status, vital signs, and medical history. Assist with various dental procedures such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health. Maintain accurate medical and dental records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and dental office staff to coordinate patient care seamlessly. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation. Experience working with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient record keeping. Knowledge of a wide range of dental specialties including orthodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and accurately measure vital signs. Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their oral health needs. Prior experience in dental clinic or dental office environments demonstrating professionalism and teamwork. Requirements Active Dental Hygiene license (required) Hep B vaccination (required) Current CPR license (required) Experience with Dentrix practice management software Anesthesia license a plus! $32.00 - $39.00 per hour
