Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and workflow efficiency. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection control. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation review and patient record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices, including working with children in a compassionate and engaging manner. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment and supporting dentists during procedures. Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse as part of patient assessment routines. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively about their dental care needs while fostering trust and comfort.
