Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment plans to promote long-term dental health Assist with chairside procedures such as four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency and patient comfort Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Support infection prevention measures by adhering to sterilization protocols, aseptic techniques, and infection control standards in accordance with healthcare regulations Skills Proficiency in dental software systems. Dentrix is used in office for documentation and scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Experience with pediatric dentistry, including working with children in a pediatric dental setting Skilled in dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting and patient care management Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining patient safety and comfort Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health topics Familiarity with EMR/EHR management systems for documentation review and medical records handling Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times Join us in delivering exceptional dental care that transforms smiles!
