Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. You will work closely with dentists and other staff members to deliver comprehensive oral health services. Applicant must be fluent in both English and Spanish. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients. Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture x-rays and other diagnostic images as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations. Document patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in Dentrix or similar software. Assist in the management of patient records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Administer local anesthesia as required and monitor vital signs during procedures. Maintain aseptic techniques throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care for pediatric patients as well as adults. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting for billing or insurance purposes. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is advantageous. Ability to perform aseptic techniques and assist in various dental procedures. Excellent communication skills, with a focus on patient education and comfort. Prior experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
