This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to promoting healthy smiles. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safety during procedures Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies Review documentation, update medical records, and assist with dental coding to ensure precise billing and recordkeeping Skills Exposure/proficiency with Dentrix Ascend for charting, documentation and scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, including chairside assisting and medical imaging techniques Ability to review documentation accurately, perform patient assessments confidently, and adhere to HIPAA standards Knowledge of dental terminology, vital signs monitoring, and infection prevention practices necessary for safe practice Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental care in a vibrant environment!
