Job Summary Our privately-owned, state of the art family practice is searching for a kind, dedicated, motivated, reliable and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our amazing team! The ideal candidate is someone who is a team player and responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role is essential in ensuring the overall health and comfort of our patients while adhering to the highest standards of dental practice. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures with precision. Obtaining accurate digital dental radiographs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate chart documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed (i.e. sealants), ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients. Performing Advanced oral cancer screening. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Collaborate with dentists and other dental staff to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Current CPR certification. Certification in the administration of local anesthesia is a plus. Experience with a clinic management software. Experience with Curve Hero management software is a plus. Excellent knowledge of overall general dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient examination, and medical history documentation. Experience with any type of scanner, particularly the iTero scanner is a plus. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Ability to communicate in an efficient, professional and kindly manner with both team members and patients of all ages. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent judgment.
