7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, oral hygiene practices, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines for digital radiographs while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Maintain strict infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques and infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review and update medical records ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality in accordance with healthcare privacy laws. Collaborate with dentists and other team members using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for seamless patient care documentation. Support patient care activities including patient education on dental terminology, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions. Ensure all dental x-ray procedures are performed safely and accurately, maintaining proficiency in medical imaging techniques. Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure. Prior experience working in general dentistry Experience with Dentrix practice management software Experience with DEXIS digital imaging software Proficiency using an iTero or TRIOS intraoral scanner Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation. Experience in infection prevention management and maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
