Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide personalized oral health education to patients, emphasizing proper brushing, flossing techniques, and preventive care strategies. Assess patient oral health status by conducting examinations and recording findings accurately in patient records. Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and efficiency. Breakdown and setup of hygiene room as well as sterilization and infection of hygiene instruments. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and maintain detailed documentation of treatments administered. Qualifications Valid, current Dental Hygiene license in the State of Florida. Experience in performing dental cleanings, radiographs, and patient education. To years is preferred, but we will work with the right candidate to grow in our practice. Strong knowledge of oral health best practices, infection control standards, and dental software systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and informed. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
