Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on optimal dental practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help foster a positive patient experience while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through preventive care and education. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations. Assist with chairside procedures such as preparing instruments, managing patient comfort, and supporting dentists during treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while complying with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique. Pay:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
