In this energized and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of infection control and confidentiality. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Perform patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology. Provide comprehensive dental care patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and treatment options. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow and patient comfort. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting treatment notes, medical records, and medical coding accurately. Maintain strict infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and handling sensitive medical information responsibly. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and the use of dental equipment such as X-ray machines and digital imaging tools. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management. Strong knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including infection prevention management and aseptic technique. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration. Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while adhering to HIPAA compliance management standards.
