Overview Join our team as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Council Bluffs at our family dental clinic. We are a growing team that needs a dynamic new member to join in the immediate future. You will deliver exceptional preventive dental care, educate patients on oral hygiene practices, and support overall dental health initiatives. We're open 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, 8-5 with an hour lunch break. We're looking for someone available during our core hours to help with recare for our established patient base, and to allow us to see more new patients. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to their individual needs. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems - we use Dentrix Ascend. Maintain strict infection prevention protocols. Ensure HIPAA compliance. Support general dentistry services. Monitor patient vital signs throughout appointments to ensure safety during procedures. Collaborate with team members to uphold the highest standards of dental terminology understanding and medical terminology application in patient care. Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Iowa. Demonstrated proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality management.
