Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your passion for patient well-being and attention to detail will help create a positive, comfortable environment for every individual who walks through our doors. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, managing dental instruments and materials efficiently. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with HIPAA compliance to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinic environments demonstrating proficiency in dental care patient education and clinical skills. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health assessments. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic techniques and infection prevention management. Competence in chairside assisting, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
