Job Description
Job summary An established, full-service general dental practice in Fairview Heights, Illinois is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join a close-knit team. The practice values long-term commitment and is proud to have an average staff tenure of more than 14 years. The ideal candidate is an energetic team player who provides thorough, compassionate care and communicates well with patients of all ages. Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday:
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.Wednesday:
8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.- No regular weekend hours. Responsibilities
- Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and selective polishing.
- Take prescribed dental radiographs, chart periodontal conditions, and treatment plan patient care accurately in Dentrix.
- Review and update medical and dental histories and complete clear clinical notes.
- Manage patient flow efficiently while seeing approximately 10 patients per day.
- Work out of two dedicated hygiene operatories in the manner that best supports an efficient daily routine.
- Perform operatory setup and breakdown while following infection control and HIPAA protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the doctor and front office to support a smooth schedule and positive patient experience.
- Administer nitrous oxide on rare occasions; local anesthesia certification is strongly preferred. Qualifications
- Current Illinois Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
- Local anesthesia certification strongly preferred.
- CPR certification and strong knowledge of infection control standards.
- Comfortable using Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Strong chairside manner, communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude.
- All experience levels are welcome; compensation is based on experience and clinical ability. Compensation and benefits
- Hourly pay: $45 to $58 per hour, based on experience.
