Job Responsibilities:
Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral assessments for pediatric patients, including prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and application of dental sealants Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition for optimal dental health Assess and document patients' oral health conditions and collaborate with the pediatric dentist to develop individualized treatment plans Take and develop dental X-rays and assist with patient charting and recordkeeping Engage and interact with pediatric patients in a friendly and compassionate manner to create a positive and comfortable dental experience Support the pediatric dentist and dental assistants during procedures and provide assistance as needed Collaborate with the dental team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements:
Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Current state licensure and CPR certification Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children and parents in a friendly and informative manner Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting positive dental experiences for children Excellent communication skills to engage and explain dental procedures in kid-friendly language. A gentle and caring touch to ensure the comfort of our young patients. Ability to work well in a team, supporting the dental team. Respect for patient confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
Schedule :
This is a part-time position, with approximately 16-20 hours per week, including some early evenings accommodate our young patients' schedules.
