Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication to patient comfort and clinical excellence will help foster a positive environment for both patients and staff. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments through chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow infection prevention protocols by implementing aseptic techniques, sterilizing dental equipment, and managing healthcare infection control measures. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems including Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care tailored to children's needs. Skilled in taking high-quality dental x-rays (dental imaging), interpreting results, and ensuring radiation safety standards. Excellent client communication skills to effectively educate patients about dental care and foster trust. Ability to perform patient care tasks such as vital signs measurement, patient assessment, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards within a dental setting. $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
