We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing team! Job Summary As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a key role in preventive care, patient education, and periodontal therapy. You will work alongside a supportive team of doctors and assistants in a well-equipped office utilizing modern digital technology (including digital radiography, intraoral scanning, CBCT, and electronic health records). Key Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling & root planing (SRP). Conduct comprehensive oral evaluations, including periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and review of medical history. Take high-quality digital dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral scans as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and personalized treatment plans. Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (as certified and permissible by Indiana state guidelines). Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical notes and patient records in practice management software (Open Dental). Adhere strictly to OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients. Partner with the doctor to co-diagnose restorative and periodontal needs.
Qualifications & Skills Education & License:
Active Indiana Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing.
Certifications:
Current CPR/BLS certification; Local Anesthesia permit required (or in progress).
Experience:
Experience preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply!
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with digital chart management (Open Dental experience is a plus) and modern clinical equipment.
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal communication, warm chairside manner, and a strong work ethic.
