Guaranteed hourly minimum, you are paid whichever amount is greater - your hourly minimum OR your production-based compensation!! Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring smooth workflow Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and healthcare infection prevention standards, to ensure patient safety Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans for pediatric dentistry and general dentistry cases Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental x-rays (X-ray) Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices Proficiency in EHR/EHR management systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation Excellent patient communication skills with a focus on patient care and client education Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting during various procedures Commitment to HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and infection prevention management Join us in making a difference through compassionate care, technical excellence, and a vibrant team environment.
