The hours are be 7:45am-5pm with a lunch break from 1-2pm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during visits. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Perform vital signs checks and document patient medical histories accurately. Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical coding when necessary. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in general dentistry practices. Skills Proficiency in Open Dental software systems is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of patient care principles and patient assessment methods. Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient record keeping. Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures within a dental clinic environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
