•Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health habits. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and providing support during restorative treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols using EMR systems like Dentrix. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments. Collaborate seamlessly with dentists and other team members in four-handed dentistry to deliver efficient, high-quality care. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding practices. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with pediatric patients is a plus. Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to review documentation accurately and thoroughly. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and data security.
