Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring infection control and aseptic techniques are maintained at all times. Document all patient interactions accurately within Dentrix. Review medical and dental documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and assess patients' overall health status before treatment. Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing specialized care tailored to children's needs. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols and OSHA standards. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting. Proficiency with Dentrix is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, demonstrating comfort working with children of all ages. Familiarity with dental assisting techniques, four-handed dentistry practices, and chairside support during various procedures. Ability to review documentation accurately and perform dental coding when necessary for billing purposes. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security is essential.
