Dental Hygienist Cossich Family Dentistry Covington, LA. M-F 7:30am to 4:00pm $48 - $50 per hour,

PTO, Sick Days, Paid Holidays, scrub re-imbursement, 401k matching Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and periodontal charting Provide prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and preventive treatments Take diagnostic dental radiographs Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care Screen for periodontal disease and oral abnormalities Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes Follow infection control and sterilization protocols Collaborate with the dentist and clinical team to deliver outstanding patient care Qualifications Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license Current CPR/BLS certification Excellent communication and patient education skills Strong attention to detail and time management Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records is preferred Requirements  Attend and contribute to daily huddle.  Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings.  Attend continuing education courses annually.  Maintain membership and attend local community organization meetings.  Write clearly, concisely, logically, and legibly.  Demonstrate accuracy in spelling and basic math.  Speak, understand, and write grammatically correct English.  Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of dentistry.  Facilitate interoffice staff communication with respectful and constructive problem solving techniques.  Understand and respect the behavior, attitude, and beliefs in congruence with the values and vision of the practice.  Resolve conflict fairly and quickly.  Maintain a clean and uncluttered environment in the work area.  Focus conversations with patients on the patient or dentistry, avoiding personal problems or gossip.
